I was making progress but real life stepped in and took up a lot of my mental and emotional focus.

That said, I have a ficlet ready to post after some checking & formatting and I already know what my next ficlet will be for the challenge :D Thrilled to be getting back into it this month, as I am writing for two of my favourite series / film respectively: I Dream of Jeannie and A Matter of Life and Death.

Other challenges? Need to get on top of my two entries for spook_me - very excited about those as I am doing AUs of two current AUs of mine. Self-indulgent? Yes. Fun? Indeed.

Yes, the film. I love that film so much and to meet another fan is just wonderful! =^_^= I aim to do my drabble for A Matter of Life and Death by the end of the month (will post here) once my spook_me fics are done.

I'm a fan of Powell and Pressburger anyway and the cast is fantastic.

I always thought it was odd that it was renamed "Stairway to Heaven" in the US.

A puzzling decision renaming the film "Stairway to Heaven" in the US! Wiki suggests it is due to the escalator in the film, but still confusing for us fans from different sides of the ocean! The actors are all marvellous, though I have a special weakness for David Niven. ;)

I have watched so far only one more Powell and Pressburger offering: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, which is a favourite of my father's. I hope to view more of their films.

I do love a lot of older films so they will be showing up in my entries when I get my act together =^_^+

I from England but I live in the States so the first time I saw "Stairway to Heaven" was going to be screened I thought "blimey, there's a Powell and Pressburger film I've never heard of before." :D
