100FandomHell
Jun. 19th, 2021 04:19 pmHello! With permission from a mod, I'm here to promote another community some of you might be interested in.
My name is Doku and I'm here to introduce you to
100fandomhell - a challenge somewhat in the same vein as
100fandoms, but with some minor caveats and differences.
So you may be asking, what makes 100FandomHell different from 100Fandoms? Why are there two communities? Are you guys related to each other?
To answer that last question first, no, this wasn't planned. I started 100FandomHell back in 2017 based off of the original LiveJournal community, and just never got around to making content for it until early-2019. Grad school and all that, you understand. And until recently, it's been just me. So, two communities sharing similar names just happened to be a happy accident.
What makes us different is the kind of challenge presented. While 100Fandoms offers a prompt table and a smaller 100 word count, 100FandomHell seeks to push harder at those limits. We want quantity alongside quality, with a minimum of 500 words. It is also a complete free-for-all, with no prompt tables or set themes. Everything is taken at your own pace, so it doesn't matter how long it takes you to get to the finish line- just that you made it there at all. (We also don't allow crossovers and want to give you the space to ask yourself "what really makes something a fandom?")
Best of all - our community is purely indexical! You don't have to copypasta your entire work to the comm - a fake cut to AO3, your own DW, or another challenge comm is just fine. Killing two birds with one stone is great! Just keep everything neat and tidy. We have an AO3 collection as well if you want to back it up there as well.
We're also open to artists and podficcers as well, and I will work with you to create guidelines that you see fit for those mediums.
There's only two of us now, but I hope this little bit was enough to consider giving it a shot, or recommending it to a friend! Hope to see you soon.

Date: 2021-06-20 06:29 pm (UTC)I have QUESTIONS!
Date: 2021-06-19 10:18 pm (UTC)2. In writing a crossover, both fandoms count, correct? But only once. If I cross one of them with a third fandom, only that third one will count on the second fic.
3. Is there a time limit, once I've started?
Hm. I am intrigued. Very intrigued.
Re: I have QUESTIONS!
Date: 2021-06-19 11:35 pm (UTC)2. As stated above and in the comm rules, crossovers aren't permitted. Everything has to be a separate entity.
3. As also stated above, it's a go at your own speed challenge. No time limits.
