As it's friending meme season on DW...
Jan. 21st, 2022 01:24 pmI thought we might try a very simple one here, given probable common interests. :D
Fill out what you want, ignore what you don't.

These tagging questions are still open
Feb. 23rd, 2019 03:32 pmThese fandoms are too long for the tag length available and I don't want to make any independent decisions about what gets left off.

RE: tagging
Feb. 22nd, 2019 02:57 pmHello all!
I have now added tags for our 100 prompts. :D
______________________________
I've also added tags for the all the fandoms listed so far in our AO3 archive.
I tried to go through the actual stories and choose the tags you'd actually used rather than AO3's synned tags as I know some of you are splitting up fandoms within those tags. This also allowed me to catch a couple of fandoms that AO3 doesn't have tags for yet. Let me know if I've failed miserably. :D

3 options if you'd like to get your fandom tags attached (you can apply them yourselves):
You are welcome to post your stories one by one at any time to this com... or not, as you will.
You are also welcome to post a link to all the stories you have written so far in one post (please use a cut tag as a courtesy to your fellow com members)
You are also welcome to just make a solo post of your bingo card as completed so far.
______________________________
In the future, I will create new fandom tags as we go.
EDITED TO ADD: If the tags already exist you are able to add them to your own post.

Thanks to
flirtoptionthree for pointing out that our AO3 collection has already hit 100 works over 102 fandoms.
Now if we were all working as a team on only one card, we'd be done. :D

100 Fandoms AO3 Collection
Jan. 28th, 2019 11:10 pm.
Hello all!
thisbluespirit made the great suggestion that it would be nice to have a 100 Fandom archive to post to, so here it is.
You are welcome to post individual stories to it as you go, or not, as you will. :D
I've also added a direct link to the AO3 collection in the side bar, just in case you're ever looking for it.

Welcome post
Jan. 21st, 2019 01:32 amHello!
This is a new dreamwidth com to host an old livejournal challenge.
A big thank you to
andraste, the owner of that community, for giving me permission to start it up again on dreamwidth.

Some very basic rules:
1) Be civil to each other.
2) Don't start an argument about what constitutes a fandom. That's someone else's card not yours.
3) If you decide you want to post directly to the com for some reason, please be courteous to other's reading lists and make a text cut.
_______________________________________________________________
This is a multifandom challenge community, where the idea is to get people to write stories in one hundred different fandoms.
To inspire and frustrate you, you also get one hundred prompts to fill at the same time.
If you are also taking part in the
51pluscrossoverfandoms challenge, you are welcome to count any appropriate stories against both challenges.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What do I need to do, exactly?
A: Copy the code for the prompt table and put it in your journal.
Start writing and filling in the table by linking from the prompts to your stories (if you're already using the table from the old livejournal com, that's OK).
AS you finish each story or your complete card, you can link your stories in the community as well, if you'd like. If you'd rather just keep your card to yourself, that's fine as well.
Q: Are original fics allowed?
A: Not in this challenge because we're concentrating on fandoms, but if you wanted to start a similar com for original fics then please go ahead. :D
Q: How long do the stories have to be?
A: At least a drabble (one hundred words). There is no upper word limit.
Q: Do the stories have to be written in English?
A: No, they don't.
Q: Isn't it going to take a long time to write in one hundred different fandoms?
A: Probably, but there's no time limit and no hurry.
Q: Can I use stories that I've written before to fill in part of the table?
A: Feel free.
Q: Can I count stories written for other challenges.
A: Yes, of course you can.
Q: What constitutes a 'fandom' for the purposes of this community? I mean, can we count Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, Sharknado 5: Global Swarming and The Last Sharknado: It's About Time as six different fandoms?
A: Probably not, but you do you. :D In other words, you know your fandoms a lot better than I do, so you make the call. There's really no point to 'fudging' this challenge else why undertake it in the first place?
Q: How about crossovers?
A: You are welcome to write crossovers. Conceivably you could get to one hundred fandoms after only fifty stories that way, but you still have to write a story for each prompt to complete the challenge. If you've written some crossovers, feel free to double up on some fandoms. You don't need to write in more than one hundred different fandoms.
