There are lots of canonsI'm very enthusiastic about but very few I'm actively fannish about. Erm... The Alienist (TV) , Battle Creek (TV) , Life on Mars (UK) ,
The Man from UNCLE (TV) and a bit of the 2015 movie version, Person of Interest (TV) , The Professionals (TV) , V for Vendetta (2005) .
- I have 'fan fic-ishly' poked at quite a few other canons but these are the ones that seem to have stuck for me.
I'm currently into the following and wondering if they'll end up joining the list above as well:

I haven't finished watching it all yet but Sui Zhou/Tang Fan from The Sleuth of the the Ming Dynasty | 成化十四年 are threatening to join this list.
I'm only interested in making friends with people whose fandoms overlap with mine – Yes/No No. If you don't mind me skipping some of your fandom posts and you don't mind skipping mine. I like the possibility of finding new shiny things of interest.
Non-fandom things I post about, if I do: My work, academia, cooking, jewellery, music, films, theatre, shoes, tin foil... Really, I love finding out about new things. I'm going to list books, movies and TV separately because most people would consider this fannish but like I said up there somewhere, I'm enthusiastic about a whole lot more things than I'm actually actively fannish about.
Other stuff about me: I'm an Englishwoman who works in academia and lives in the US in The South (TM). I tend not to get much more specific about me than that.
I hardly ever post about politics but if your politics swing right and/or you think everyone must resemble you and hold your beliefs/share your life choices in order to be worthy of respect, I'm not the DW blogger you're looking for.

Fandom(s) I enjoy: My biggest evergreen fandoms are Eerie, Indiana and Star Trek. I also like various tokusatsu shows (my current favorites are Dairanger, and Kamen Riders Kuuga, and Ex-Aid), the Man From UNCLE (tv show, I couldn't get into the movie), Fear Street, Stranger Things, The Good Place... I tend to cycle through fandoms but most of them I do come back to eventually/periodically. These are just the ones I am Thinking About Right Now

Other stuff about me: I'm a mom to three teenagers, dealing with depression (in me and them), a wife (so I'm not trying to raise them all alone). I love to read, I love to write, and I'm working on knitting and crocheting projects at the moment. I have run a book group through my church for almost 25 years now, which has been a blast. I love to drive, and I love to listen to music as loud as I can stand it (most of it kpop). My children are all theater people, so I also have some soundtracks from musicals (Percy Jackson, Six, etc.). I'm trying to get into shape so I can enjoy my life (because I'm in the second half of my century) without worrying about how I'm going to be when I get really old. I'm currently into tiny houses and conversion vans, but I haven't posted anything about that yet. I haven't posted much of anything lately.

Date: 2022-01-29 07:25 pm (UTC)And yes! I just love how Pratchett managed to get so much wisdom into his books, which at first blush seem like light fantasy adventures. The Tiffany Aching, Granny Weatherwax, and Night Watch books are my favorites there, but I love them all and I started rereading them in publication order last year.
